Hi, I'm Des – a creative professional based in Durham, North Carolina, specializing in lifestyle and portrait photography. With a passion for storytelling, I blend technical expertise with artistic vision to capture authentic, emotional moments. My work spans over a decade, from independent photography to leadership roles in creative agency settings.
As an Independent Photographer since 2014, I’ve honed my craft in diverse environments, capturing everything from intimate portraits to dynamic lifestyle shoots. I’ve also held key positions in the e-commerce and publishing sectors, including Photo Production Manager and Lead Photographer at Unique Loom, where I led visual content creation and photo production. My early career included photographing for South Charlotte Lifestyle Magazine, further deepening my storytelling approach through editorial work.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography from East Carolina University’s School of Art & Design, where I developed a solid foundation in both the technical and artistic aspects of my craft.
